How to build immunity?
Times like Pandemics where the virus is mutating, means we need
more power in our immune system to fight more powerful viruses. This in turn
puts extra pressure to work on getting the body back to the state of rest.
Immunity is a function of primarily two factors:
#1 Are you breathing optimally?
When
we breathe, the brain consumes approximately 20% of the oxygen taken in a
breath. Note: It is in an awake rested state. This means when the brain is not
very active, then oxygen through blood reaches every cell on its own. This is
how every cell of the body remains healthy. This makes an optimal immune
system, which is the defense mechanism of the human body and is trained to
fight any virus and bacteria to keep the flow of oxygen to its optimal levels.
#2 Level of toxicity
How
does toxicity accumulate in your body? When for reasons outlined below, oxygen
is not optimal in our cells or specific organ or tissue, it directly means
higher levels of carbon in that specific part. And growing toxicity. This
automatically means your immune system is weakening and this is how we attract
any disease. If you have more toxicity accumulated than oxygen produced, it
will put pressure on the immune system.
Run
a test on yourself to check if you have an optimal immune
system.
What hampers optimal oxygenation and
ultimately optimal immunity?
The strength of your immune system depends on whether you are
getting properly oxygenated or not, which depends on your breath. Let's
understand what is affecting your breathing intake:
1.
When you are angry, surprised, anxious,
worried or in shock, it makes your breathing rapid as you need more oxygen to
release those emotions.
2.
We rarely want to feel our emotions. To
keep emotions suppressed, our mind works
extra hard. This creates more thoughts and more energy to be consumed. We seldom
realize that the mind is engaged in suppressing the emotions – that’s how
spontaneous the activity is! This means more oxygen to be consumed by our brain
for this activity, leaving a lesser amount for the body.
3.
Emotions continue to be held inside through
belief (created with thoughts). Else, emotions come and go if we witness them. As
every moment we live, it creates an emotion.
Let’s look at the current scenario of the pandemic: Emotions of fear,
worry, isolation & grief that you feel & suppress are absorbing
most of the oxygen, which is meant for the body. This affects your breathing
rate and oxygen intake per breath, which in turn weakens the immune system
and makes you more prone to attract virus.
How to
raise immunity naturally in 3 simple steps
Now that you’ve understood the science. Here are a few things you
can immediately do to start improving immunity:
1.
Start using Cotton: For a healthy person,
breathing alternates between each nostril every 90 minutes. Imbalance or
disturbance in this process, is the beginning of all health problems. Learn how to use cotton
to deepen your breath, boost immunity and thus restore your health.
2.
Observe your breath = the Science of
Oxygenation
a. When you observe your breath, your thoughts will reduce and all the emotions you’ve held up will surface. If you keep witnessing them with the breath, they will reduce in intensity, periodicity and time interval.
b. You will feel lighter in your body; you’ll see that thoughts are not required because you’re not suppressing any emotion. So automatically, your mind will not be able to stay active after some time.
c. As your mind is not active, your body will get the due oxygen that it requires for optimal immunity.
